The incident happened around 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, July 12 in midtown Manhattan near the Intrepid off Pier 84 and West 46th Street. The NYPD identified the victims on Wednesday, July 13 as 7-year-old Julian Vasquez and Lindelia Vasquez, age 47, both of Colombia. Hiker, 25, Dies After Fall From Mountain In Hudson Valley A 25-year-old hiker from the Hudson Valley fell 100 feet to his death while free climbing with two friends on Thursday, officials said. Kenneth Steier of Poughkeepsie had been hiking Thursday along the Washburn Trail at Hudson Highland State Park, about a mile south of Breakneck Ridge, said Randy Simons, a spokesman for the state Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation.
