Dutchess County resident Hayez D. Prelich, age 25 of Pine Plains, was arrested on Wednesday, Nov.2, in New York City. According to Dutchess County Sheriff's Capt. Hudson Valley Man Remembered As 'Ace Lefty' For High School Baseball Team Dies At Age 46 A Hudson Valley resident who was known as a skilled baseball player and a loving member of his family has died at the age of 46. Dutchess County resident Michael John Dorozynski, of Pine Plains, died at New York Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan, according to his obituary. Dorozynski was born in Poughkeepsie. "Michael graduated from Stissing Mt Jr/Sr High School where he was an 'Ace' lefty pitcher for the Bombers," his obituary reads. According to his obituary, he had a love of the outdoors and was an avid hunter. Dorozynski is also remembered as a loving son, brother, and uncle. …

64-Year-Old Hudson Valley Man Arrested For Sex Abuse, State Police Say An area man has been arrested for sexual abuse after allegedly touching the victim under their clothes. Dutchess County resident Dennis A. Robison, age 64, of Pine Plains was arrested on Monday, Nov. 15 in Rhinebeck for sexual abuse, said Trooper AJ Hicks of the New York State Police. After receiving a complaint of inappropriate behavior, an investigation determined Robison touched the victim beneath the clothing for the purpose of sexual gratification, Hicks said. Robison was arraigned and released on his own recognizance to reappear before the court on Wednesday, Dec. 1.

Officers received reports from the Arlington section of town at approximately 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 28, when the bear was spotted in a tree between Taft Avenue and the Raymond Avenue extension. Police tranquilized the bear while it was in the tree and an officer climbed up and pushed it onto a safe pad on the ground below.
