A woman was injured after a man lost control of his 2011 Jeep Cherokee and drove over a curb, hitting the woman, and then struck the front wall of a grocery store in the Hudson Valley. The crash took place around 2:30 p.m., Monday, Nov. 1 in Rockland County at the ShopRite in Pearl River. According to police, the crash happened when a 77-year-old man New City man drove up onto the curb of the grocery store located at 26 N. Multiple people were injured during a two-vehicle crash that also involved a pedestrian in the area. The crash took place on Monday, March 2, in Rockland County at the intersection of Bataan Road and Western Highway in Orangeburg, said Orangetown Police Sgt. Michael Taylor. An incident involving an 89-year-old driver and a 21-year-old man on a riding lawnmower left both injured in Pearl River, police said. A serious crash that injured a teenage girl closed a busy roadway for 12 hours in Rockland County. The crash took place around 6:55 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 5, when a 16-year-old girl was driving a 2004 Toyota southbound on Route 304 in Orangetown when she lost control and struck a DOT utility pole near Hillside Avenue, said Det. A fiery three-vehicle crash left two people seriously injured and another in handcuffs for alleged drunk driving in Rockland. The crash took place at 6:07 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 15, on Veterans Memorial Drive in the vicinity of the Blue Hill Plaza in Pearl River, said Orangetown Police Sgt. Joseph Sullivan. Two familiar families -- both coming from lines of first responders -- are now grieving following the death of a young man after authorities said he was knocked unconscious by his friend outside a Pearl River bar.
