Woman Struck, Killed By Train In Bergen County That Departed From Rockland A woman was struck and killed by a train in Bergen County on Saturday, Jan. 27, New Jersey Transit officials confirmed. The pedestrian was struck near the New Bridge Landing station in River Edge by Pascack Valley Line train 2118 around 4:45 p.m., an NJ Transit spokesperson tells Daily Voice. The train had left Spring Valley, NY at 4:05 p.m.and was scheduled to arrive in Hoboken at 5:20 p.m., the spokesperson said. No injuries were reported to the 120 customers or the crew on board. NJ Dad Killed By Train At Penn Station After Holiday Party: MTA A 36-year-old New Jersey dad was struck and killed by a train at New York Penn Station after a holiday party, prompting an outpour of support for the family he leaves behind. Keith Harvey, of Belle Meade, was struck by Long Island Rail Road train #380 on Track 17 just before 11:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 15, MTA spokesperson Renee Price said. The incident took place in Rockland County around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27 in Spring Valley. According to MTA officials, the person was struck by a train departing Spring Valley Station at the Dutch Lane crossing. Service on the Pascack Valley Line is suspended in both directions between Spring Valley and Nanuet, officials said. Train Strikes Car On Tracks In Nanuet A driver was able to escape before a car on the tracks was struck by a train early Sunday afternoon in Rockland County. At about 1:30 p.m., the New Jersey transit train traveling to Spring Valley struck the car at the New Clarkstown Road crossing in Nanuet. The vehicle was sitting in traffic, on the tracks, when the railroad crossing gates began to come down as the train was approaching the crossing, Clarkstown Police said.
