NJ Exec Dies Walking His Dog, Obit Says: 'Treated Clients Like Family' John McTague, a financial executive from the Jersey Shore, had died at 51 years old, according to his obituary. The online memorial said McTague died while walking his dog on Wednesday, Jan. 10. He was born in Jersey City and grew up on the Jersey Shore in Spring Lake Heights. McTague's LinkedIn page said he was a senior vice president and certified financial planner at Buckman, Buckman & Reid, a brokerage firm in Little Silver. Teen Admits To Stabbing Two Rockland Men On Jersey Shore, Prosecutor Says A teenager has admitted to stabbing two Hudson Valley men on the Jersey Shore during a fight last year, authorities said. Juwan Roman, age 18, of Newark, pleaded guilty on Thursday, May 13 to two counts of aggravated assault and weapons offenses, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer. Roman's name was made public this week after he waived his right to juvenile status in Family Court.  Roman was 17 during the 2020 assault, but he voluntarily agreed to be prosecuted as an adult, the prosecutor said. Rockland County Man Struck, Killed By Train Along Jersey Shore A 54-year-old Rockland County man was struck and killed by a train along the Jersey Shore Monday, rail officials said. The North Jersey Coast Line train struck Stephen B. Mangold, of Bardonia, near 11th Avenue and Main Street in Neptune around 11:50 a.m., NJ.com said citing an NJ Transit spokeswoman. There were 60 passengers aboard the train at the time of the incident, and service was suspended between Bay Head and Long Branch for approximately one hour.
