Man Ejected From Car, Thrown Into Ravine After Crash On Highway In Hudson Valley First responders carried out a careful rescue operation after a man fell over 50 feet down a ravine following a crash on a highway in Northern Westchester.  The incident happened on Thursday, Feb. 29 at around 6:30 p.m., when a three-car crash occurred on Interstate 684 in Bedford at the overpass spanning Beaver Dam Park. As a result of the crash, one man was ejected from his vehicle and sent into a ravine underneath the overpass, according to the Katonah Fire Department. Upcoming Lane Closures On I-684 Could Cause Delays Motorists are being warned of a series of lane closures that will soon impact traffic on a busy roadway in the region. A series of single- and double-lane closures in Northern Westchester will affect Interstate 684 in both directions in Bedford between Exit 4 (State Route 172) and Exit 9 (Hardscrabble Road) beginning on Monday, June 19, according to the New York State Department of Transportation.  The closures will occur on weeknights between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. until Friday, June 23.  The lane closures are to allow for roadway work.
