Stranded Pair Pulled From Water After Boat Sinks In Westchester Two people were rescued from the water off New Rochelle after their boat hit a rock, stranding them in the water. The incident took place around 8:10 p.m. Wednesday near Glen Island Park, said New Rochelle Police Capt. J.C. Coyne. According to Coyne, the two unidentified people had been out boating when they hit a rock and their boat began to sink.  Luckily, New Rochelle Officer Timothy Childs was out paroling the harbor when he spotted the two in trouble.
