Former Albertus Magnus Principal 'Known For His Unconditional Kindness' Dies A beloved educator and coach from Northern Westchester known for making a lasting impression on his students has died.  Joseph Troy of Somers died on Thursday, Nov. 3 at the age of 83, according to his obituary.  Born in 1939 in New York City, Troy graduated from St. Joseph’s Preparatory School in Barrytown in 1957 and earned his bachelor's degree in Biology at Catholic University in 1962 as well as his master’s degree in Education and Doctoral Studies from New York University, his obituary said.  Troy then continued his career in education at Pleasantville Hi…

Student, Driver Injured In Route 304 School Bus Crash Student, Driver Injured In Route 304 School Bus Crash
Student, Driver Injured In Route 304 School Bus Crash One student and a school bus driver were injured in a two-vehicle crash Monday morning in Rockland. The crash occurred around 7:44 a.m. Nov. 26 on Route 304 and Washington Avenue in Pearl River, police said. Orangetown police officials said officers were still on the scene and little information was available. The students were on their way to Albertus Magnus High School in Bardonia when the crash occurred with another vehicle. The injuries are said to be non-life threatening.  This is a developing story.
