Jonathan Stefos, 31, was arrested late last month after police responded to a 911 call at a residence in the hamlet.

According to police, Stefos beat the unnamed victim with a metal stand, a broom, a motorcycle helmet and a paint roller, leaving him covered with cuts and bruises.

When the man tried to call for help, Stefos knocked his cell phone out of his hand, police said.

Stefos was charged with second-degree assault, fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment.

He was sent to Rockland County Jail and is to appear in court to answer the charges Monday, police said.
