The “Mel Rae,” also called “Daddy’s Girl,” appears to be out of Congers in Rockland County, Williams said.

The empty Silverton cruising yacht was found Monday on Brant Beach in Long Beach Township, he said.

How the vessel ended up on the beach is an unknown at this point, Williams said.

A towing service was supposed to cart the yacht away Tuesday, but Williams said he did not know if that had happened yet.

State police are asking anyone with any information to call the Marine Services Unit at (609)-963-6900, ext. 2175.
