A New City home owner is involved in a standoff with the postal service over her barking dog, Leo, who is viewed as a threat, according to News 12.
Emily Fabrizio says the postal service has suspended mail to her home because of Leo's loud barking and is requesting she sign a statement guaranteeing he will always be restrained during mail delivery, according to News 12.
Citing the fact that 5,000 mail carriers annually are bitten by dogs, the postal service is insisting that the statement be signed. Still, Fabrizio is refusing, claiming her dog has never lunged at, attacked or bitten any mail carriers, according to News 12.
