Rockland Welcomes 129 New US Citizens At Naturalization Event

POMONA, N.Y. -- County Clerk Paul Piperato led the first naturalization ceremony of 2016 at the Rockland County Fire Training Center in Pomona on Friday.

"The United States of America remains the one nation which more than any other in the world symbolizes man's quest for political freedom, religious liberty and economic prosperity," said County Executive Ed Day. "Welcome and congratulations on this tremendous achievement."

One hundred twenty-nine immigrants from 40 countries took the Oath of Allegiance and became United States citizens officially.
