Rockland County Executive Ed Day Participates In Homeless Count

ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- Rockland County Executive Ed Day took part in Friday's annual Point-in-Time count, which tracks the number of people living homeless throughout local towns and villages in a 24-hour period.

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development requires the survey from local governments to determine federal funding.

Day thanked the county's Department of Social Services and the county's nonprofit partner, Helping Hands of Spring Valley, led by Executive Director Ya'el Williams, for organizing the count.
