Vinny Forzono became the first student in the North Rockland school district to participate in a pilot program using a "VGo" robot through his home laptop to interact with teachers and students, according to lohud.com.

The pilot program is now over and cost factors have prohibited the robot’s continued use despite the amount of school Forzono misses due to his illness, says lohud.com.
