The two hybrid animal-female forms sculpted by artist Donna Dodson will be moving on by Thursday, April 28, say ROCA officials.
The iconic sculptures made of polystyrene foam, cement and paint have graced the Catherine Konner Sculpture Park since 2010.
Dodson says her artwork celebrates the “mystical relationship” between humans and animals.
Through her female-animal forms, the artist says she uses wood to “flesh out sensuality, sexuality and soul.”
Her work suggests playfulness and humor, but also strength, according to reviews.
Her passion for Egyptian, African and Native American art is reflected in her images of goddesses and other female figureheads, the reviews said.
The Rockland Center for the Arts is at 27 S. Greenbush Road, West Nyack.
