ALBANY, N.Y. -- The opening of the first span on the new Tappan Zee Bridge has been delayed from Dec. 2015 to spring or summer of 2016, announced the New York Thruway Authority.
The $4 billion replacement project is still predicted to finish on time and within budget.
The announcement came on the same day it was announced there will be no toll increases on the Thruway.
