ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- A new bus system for Rockland and Westchester willl be up and running in 2018, according to lohud.com.

The Hudson Links, as it is unofficially referred to, will take the place of the Tappan ZEExpress when the Tappan Zee Bridge replacement opens, the report says.

Those supporting the new bus system hope its faster transit time, nicer buses and stations, amenities that are modern, will draw ridership, according to the report.

There will be a community meeting on how to improve pedestrian safety on Routes 59 and 45 Tuesday, Nov. 30 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Finkelstein Memorial Library in Spring Valley, says lohud.com
