"It is an honor and a pleasure to present this proclamation to Al Penchansky. There are no words to describe what this man has gone through," Carlucci said. "He has accomplished and experienced more than anyone could possibly imagine. I can't thank him enough for his service and dedication to this country."
A commander of the Hudson County, N.J., Jewish War Veteran Post 18, Penchansky has also awarded for 50 years of service from the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants. He currently lives in the Fountainview At College Road, a retirement community in Monsey.
"Sen. Carlucci has done so much for veterans, and I am honored to receive this proclamation. I would have never received my medal of Good Conduct without the senator's hard work and diligence. This birthday is certainly one I will never forget," Penchansky said.
