Esplanade staff prepared a day filled with joy and nervous anticipation as the couples once again professed their love and admiration for one another, just as they each had done decades before. The banquet room, one of Esplanade's many on-site amenities, was filled with couples’ family and friends who stood witness to the residents’ faithfulness.
Before the reception began, the brides fixed their makeup and the grooms put on their best suits as they anxiously prepared to relive their big day. Following a flower girl’s lead, the five couples made their way down the aisle to renew their wedding vows in front of their loved ones. After the ceremony, the "newlyweds" spent the day with generations of their families, reflecting on their years of marriage.
