Tony Award-Winning Nyack Native Will Speak At Elmwood Playhouse

NYACK, N.Y. -- Tony Award-winning lighting designer Peggy Eisenhauer will speak at an Elmwood Playhouse Tech Event on Monday, Nov. 23.

“For all of my exposure in the business, I have never seen such a creative and fertile theatre company on the community stage. I am honored to call it my first theatre," said Eisenhauer. Raised in Nyack, Eisenhauerbegan her career in Elmwood's lighting loft in 1975.

Eisenhauer and collaborator Jules Fisher have received the Tony Award for Best Lighting Design and have nearly 30 nominations. They designed lighting for films such as "Chicago," "The Producers" and "Dreamgirls."

The free event runs from 7 to 10 p.m.
