But there’s a side effect being reported all over the Internet: The black bun is causig people’s bowel movements to turn green, "a comical, cartoon green,” someone Tweeted.
According to the Daily Mail, a Burger King spokesman said the black bun is colored with less then 1 percent dye, and A-1 sauce. In Japan, it swaps out A-1 for squid ink. The Washington Post, however, thinks dye is to blame.
