Video: Police Help Hawk Fly Free After It Crashes Into Westchester Home
A hawk that accidentally crashed through the window of a Westchester County home was saved thanks to the help of police officers who knew just what to do. On Monday, Jan. 2, the bird of prey flew into a home in Greenburgh, leading the homeowner to call police for help, Greenburgh police said. After arriving at the house, officers were able to throw a blanket over the distressed bird and carry it back outside. Woman Accused Of Throwing Metal Object, Injuring Child In Westchester County
A woman is facing an assault charge after police reported that she threw a metal object that struck and injured a child in Westchester County. The Town of Greenburgh Police Department responded to a report of a dispute in progress at a home on Warren Avenue on Friday, Sept. 23, police announced on Wednesday, Oct. 5. A 33-year-old man is accused of entering a Westchester County home and firing a gun at one of the residents, before shooting himself in the leg during a struggle. Police responded to a report of a possible fight in the basement of a home on Ridge Road in Greenburgh at about 6:50 p.m. on Sunday, June 26, according to the Town of Greenburgh Police Department. An investigation by police in Westchester led to the arrest of a man and woman who allegedly bilked a woman out of more than $15,000. On Saturday, March 13, the Onalaska Wisconsin Police Department requested the assistance of the Town of Greenburgh Police Department after an elderly resident of Onalaska reported she had been defrauded out of $15,500.00, Greenburgh Police Lt. A man has been charged with felony animal cruelty after a beaten and burned dog was found dead in Westchester, police say.
