Victim Burned In Westchester Fire, Roads Closed A person was burned during a fire in Westchester that caused road closures, police said.  The fire happened at 21 Van Cortlandt Park Ave. in Yonkers on Thursday, Jan. 16, causing the road to close between Spruce Street and Elm Street, according to Yonkers Police.  The blaze began on the third floor at around 1 p.m. and also caused Elm Street to close between Walnut Street and Prescott Street, according to Yonkers Police Sgt. 14-Year-Old Struck By Vehicle At Westchester Intersection A 14-year-old boy was hospitalized after he was hit by a vehicle at a Westchester intersection.  The incident happened on Friday, May 3 just after 2:30 p.m., when a child was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Alder Street and Spruce Street in Yonkers, Detective Sergeant Frank DiDomizio said.  According to DiDomizio, an investigation determined that the boy ran out into traffic before being hit. Road Work Ahead: Busy Ramp In Westchester County To Close Commuters will soon have to plan ahead to avoid being impacted by a closed ramp on a busy Westchester County parkway. Search For Suspect Underway After Shooting In Westchester Police are on the hunt for the person who shot a 27-year-old Westchester County man.
