Dangerous Cold: New Yorkers Urged To Take Caution Ahead Of Arctic Blast, Frigid Temps With temperatures ready to plunge, New York officials are warning the region to be ready to brave the cold. Several weather systems moving through the state will bring ice-cold temperatures and frigid temperatures. The Arctic blast expected to strike has prompted New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo to take emergency measures.
