Expect Delays: Taconic Parkway Stretch To Be Closed For Repairs Motorists on the Taconic State Parkway can expect some delays due to a roadway closure in the area. The New York State Department of Transportation said the roadway will be closed along the southbound lanes in Dutchess County between Exit 47 and Exit 45 in the town of Lagrangeville. The road will be closed for repairs beginning Thursday, Sept. 9 at 10 a.m. through about 6 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 10. The department said motorists should follow the posted detour utilizing Route 55 and Route 82.

Six From Westchester Charged With DWI In State Police Stops New York State Police troopers in the Hudson Valley busted nearly 30 motorists who were allegedly driving while impaired over the last week-plus. The local residents charged were:  Westchester County On Friday, Oct. 26, State Police from East Fishkill arrested Walter L. Traub, 41, of Bedford, for DWI. He was traveling on I-84 in Patterson, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested. Monthslong Lane Closure Starts On Taconic State Parkway There will be single lane closures for several months on the Taconic Parkway in Dutchess County as crews complete construction work in the area. The New York State Department of Transportation announced that beginning on Friday, Aug. 10, there will be single lane closures on the southbound lanes of the parkway between Route 44 and Route 55 in LaGrange. The closures are expected to last through Monday, Dec. 3. Officials said that motorists can expect delays in the area and should seek alternate routes, if possible.
