Officials in Westchester have nabbed two suspects involved in the murders of two women that date back more than a decade, one of which involved a former corrections officer. Two suspects have been indicted on murder charges for their roles in the 2012 fatal shooting of 26-year-old Pamela Graddick in Westchester, the District Attorney announced. Yonkers resident John Torres, age 30, and Bronx resident Wanda Veguilla, age 41, are facing charges for allegedly conspiring to kill Graddick, who was the latter’s girlfriend at the time. Police investigators in Westchester solved a nine-year murder mystery that led to the arrest of two suspects, authorities announced. Shortly after 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012, members of the Yonkers Police Department responded to a wooded area between Rossmore Avenue and Midland Avenue next to the Sprain Brook Parkway, where there was a report of a suspicious package. The Yonkers Police Department is looking for the community’s assistance as they continue to investigate the disappearance of a 26-year-old woman from the Bronx whose remains were discovered in a wooded area on Rossmore Avenue eight years ago. On Sept. 4, 2012, members of the Yonkers Police Department were dispatched to 2 Rossmore Ave., where there were reports of a foul odor in the woods next to the property.
