Hudson Valley Man Charged With Beating Cops With Bat At Capitol Rejects Plea Deal
An area man accused of attacking police officers with a weapon during the insurrection in Washington, D.C. on Jan. 6 has rejected his plea deal and plans to fight the charges against him at trial. Orange County resident Edward Jake Lang, age 26, of Newburgh, a Sullivan County native from Narrowsburg, was arrested in his hometown on Jan. 16 for participating in the riots and posting photos on social media. Northern Westchester Locale Is Among 'Most Charming Small Towns' Near NYC
As New York turns the calendar to fall and many begin flocking away from the city and into the suburbs, several Hudson Valley communities have been named among the state’s “most charming” small towns. These Area Post Offices Are Without Power After Nor'easter
More than two dozen Hudson Valley post offices remain without power following Friday’s Nor’easter that rocked the region with 60 mph wind gusts and a storm. The United States Postal Service issued an alert on Monday afternoon regarding recovery efforts at post offices in the region that remain without power as they await utility companies to restore facilities’ electric.
