Suspects Still On Run After Five Shot In Westchester County, Police Say Police are intensifying their investigations into two shootings that injured five people in one night in Westchester County. The incidents began in Yonkers around 9:15 p.m. on Saturday, July 16. That's when officers responded to the area of Pitkin Park on Locust Hill Avenue on a report of shots fired, said Sgt. Both shootings happened on Saturday, July 16, in Yonkers, according to the Yonkers Police Department. 15 Displaced As Fire Breaks Out At Three-Story, Multi-Family House In Westchester Fifteen residents have been displaced after a two-alarm fire sparked in a multi-family home on Christmas night. Firefighters were dispatched to a three-story Locust Hill Avenue home shortly before 11 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 25, when a fire broke out in the walls and ceilings of all three floors, Yonkers Deputy Chief Daniel Flynn said. Crews were on scene within two minutes, Flynn noted. The fire was knocked down and under control by 11:27 p.m. According to Flynn, four firefighters suffered minor injuries battling the blaze.
