Former Chief Of Fire Department In Westchester Dies: 'Will Be Sorely Missed' The beloved former chief of a Westchester County fire department is being remembered for serving his community for six decades.  Joseph Marsek, the former chief of the Ardsley Fire Department, died on Monday, Nov. 4 at the age of 81, according to his obituary.  According to the department, Marsek was a Life Member who served for 60 years.  "Joe was a mentor to all of us and loved by so many.
