Dealer Nabbed For Overdose Deaths From Fentanyl-Laced Heroin In Hudson Valley
A Hudson Valley alleged drug dealer has been charged in connection with the overdose deaths of four people.
Dutchess County resident Allen Peloquin, aka "Ace," age 34, of Poughkeepsie, was taken into custody on Thursday, March 31.
Peloquin was charged with distributing fentanyl-laced heroin that resulted in the death of a woman in Putnam County in Carmel, in Feb. 2020, and a man in Poughkeepsie, in May 2020, said Damian Williams, the US Attorney for the Southern District of New York.

An arrest has been made in connection to the overdoses of six male college students, including several West Point cadets, on spring break in Florida.
Axel Giovany Casseus, age 21, was charged with trafficking cocaine of less than 200 grams, a first-degree felony, and burglary of an unoccupied dwelling, according to court records filed Saturday, March 12, the Miami Herald reported.

A 26-year-old man will spend nearly two decades in prison after being sentenced for drug, weapon, and robbery charges in connection to a violent kidnapping on behalf of a Mexican cartel, authorities announced.
Yonkers resident Fernando Ra was sentenced to 18 years in prison in connection to robbery, firearms, and narcotics offenses, US Attorney Damian Williams announced.
Williams said that on Oct. 3, 2020, Ra and his co-conspirators kidnapped, restrained, robbed, and “savagely assaulted” two victims using guns and baseball bats to beat them.

Two Hudson Valley residents were arrested following an investigation into a home receiving shipments of drugs through the mail.
Orange County residents Muhammad Iftikhar, age 42, and Maria Younis, age 39, both of Goshen, were arrested following the investigation, which concluded on Tuesday, Feb. 8, New York State Police reported.
Police said the two were arrested after a search warrant was executed at the Goshen residence, and law enforcement seized more than 50 grams of anabolic steroids and more than 20 grams of MDMA.
