It's Cuomo Vs. Cox As Kavanaugh Controversy Continues In New York
Gov. Andrew Cuomo of New Castle and state Republican Party Chairman Edward Cox publicly clashed on Thursday, Oct. 4 over whether the U.S. Senate should confirm Brett Kavanaugh as the newest member of the Supreme Court. The Senate narrowly OK'd Kavanaugh's appointment by President Donald Trump, 50 to 48, on Saturday. At a breakfast hosted by the Association for a Better New York, as reported here by WNYC, the Democratic governor said he was against Kavanaugh's confirmation, saying the federal judge appeared angry and partisan during the televised hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committe…

More Americans Believe Christine Blasey Ford, Marist Poll Finds
Nearly half of Americans believe that Christine Blasey Ford was telling the truth last week following the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh as Supreme Court justice, according to a new Marist College poll. NY Politicians React To Ford-Kavanaugh Testimony
This story has been updated. New York's leading Democrats called Thursday's testimony against U.S. Supreme Court Justice nominee Brett Kavanaugh credible and potentially fatal to his confirmation by the U.S. Senate. “Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, you are a hero,” wrote Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand of New York on Twitter. Sen. Chuck Schumer wrote: "If our Republican colleagues are so certain of Judge Kavanaugh’s story, they should immediately demand that the White House order the FBI to reopen the background investigation, and hold off on a vote for several days so all the facts can come out.&…

What do Chappaqua's Hillary Clinton as well as Bette Midler, the late John F. Kennedy Jr., Sally Field and Don Rickles have in common? They've all applied for or been Murphy Brown's secretary on the acclaimed television series. "On our first show we had a secretary who is probably the jewel in the crown of our chain of secretaries," lead actor Candice Bergen said about former First Lady and Secretary of State Clinton's surprise appearance on Murphy Brown revival premiere. Clinton's surprise appearance on Thursday, Sept. 27 was exactly that: A surprise -- in an era of spoilers an…

Donald Trump Jr. Mocks Sexual Assault Allegations Against Supreme Court Nominee Brett Kavanaugh
President Trump's son, Donald Jr., questioned the content and timing of a letter that impugns his father's U.S. Supreme Court nominee. Referring to Brett Kavanaugh in an Instagram post, Trump Jr. wrote: "Oh boy. . . the Dems and their usual nonsense games really have him on the ropes now. (Sen. Dianne) Finestein (sic) had the letter in July and saved it for the eve of his vote... honorable as always. I believe this is a copy for full transparency." The president's eldest son also posted an image of an apparently fake note that looked like it was written by a child, joking that it …
