Two-Alarm House Fire Breaks Out In Area Firefighters from numerous departments braved freezing temperatures and snow as they battled a two-alarm early morning house fire in the area. The fire started around midnight in the basement of a house on Chappaqua Road in the Lake Carmel section of Kent, said Lake Carmel Fire Chief T.J. Donohue. The family, including two adults and two children, were able to escape safely as firefighters arrived on the scene, the chief said.
