Expect Delays: Roadwork Will Reduce I-87 Stretch In Rockland To One Lane For Months Motorists in the region should get ready for long delays as work begins on a section of I-87 that will reduce the roadway to one lane for months. The New York State Thruway Authority on Friday, Sept. 10 announced that traffic will be reduced to one lane in Rockland County at the northbound Exit 15 ramp to New Jersey (New Jersey-I-287-NJ Route 17 South) beginning Monday, Sept. 13.  The lane reduction is needed for bridge joint repair work on the ramp. Monthslong Exit Ramp Closure Announced For Bronx River Parkway A busy Bronx River Parkway exit will be closed for several months in Westchester as contracting crews prepare to ramp up a bridge repair project near Tuckahoe. The Tuckahoe Police Department issued an alert to area residents cautioning that beginning on Tuesday, Sept. 25, the Elm Street northbound exit ramp will be closed and will not reopen until Dec. 24 as work begins to repair the bridge at the end of the exit. Police said that due to this repair project, there will be heavy traffic on Scarsdale Road in the area of The Olde Stone Mill Restaurant when attempting to come into the village. …
