The Pace Athletics department inducted four individuals into the Hall of Fame Class of 2014. Nominations will also be accepted at this time for the Peter X Finnerty Leadership Award and the Team of Distinction Award.
Candidates are eligible for the Pace Athletics Hall of Fame if the nominee has contributed to the success of the Pace Athletics Department as a student-athlete, coach, administrator or a supporter closely associated with Pace Athletics during his or her career. For student-athlete nominees, five years must have elapsed since the student-athlete's last athletic participation. A coach, administrator or supporter must have demonstrated long-term generosity and commitment to Pace Athletics and/or their respective team.
Nominations for the Peter X Finnerty Leadership Award will also be accepted at this time. The Peter X. Finnerty Award is presented to a member or members of the Pace University athletics community for outstanding leadership and service to the University or to society as a whole.
The Team of Distinction Award was initiated in 2014 as part of that year's induction. A Team of Distinction has won a conference, regional or national championship; or been undefeated over the course of its season; or considered to be one of the "very best Pace University teams ever" in the respective sport; or has overcome exceptional challenges to be successful.
Other considerations could be teams with membership that have gone above and beyond the typical call of duty to maintain a strong bond with Pace University and its student-athletes. For more information on how to mail in nomination forms click here.
