Gymnast, 8, With Cystic Fibrosis Wins Gold In State Tourney

CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. -- Pleasantville’s Mackenzie Adair, of Chappaqua's World Cup Gymnastics, recently won gold in beams, floor and all around state champion at the state championship meet, according to Patch.

Mackenzie, 8, competed against more than 150 girls in her age group at the tournament, the story said, despite suffering from cystic fibrosis, a life-threatening disease.

In the future, Mackenzie hopes to be in the 2020 Olympics when she’s 15-years-old, be on the gymnastics team at the University of Florida, and later in life be a gymnastics teacher or pre-school teacher, the article said.
