The Chappaqua resident and former presidential candidate was photographed during breakfast Wednesday while gazing into her cell phone by Mike Smith and then tweeted by his former New York Times colleague, Carolyn Ryan Wednesday, The Washington Post reported.
Ryan is senior editor for politics at the Times.
Folks are now comparing the photo to one taken of Clinton on a military plane looking into her cell phone when she was secretary of state – the difference being, she looked large and in charge back then, and somewhat more ordinary and forlorn now, The Washington Post story said.
It is also being compared to a contemplative picture of Joe Biden taken back in late 2014 when the veep was weighing another run at the presidency, The Washington Post story said. (He sought the Democratic nod in 1988 and 2008 for the post, but dropped out both times early in the race.)
The Mohonk Mountain House is a historic resort/hotel perched on the top of the Shawangunk Ridge in picturesque Ulster County.
