New Castle Police say the suspects believed to be connected to a number of burglaries in the county were arrested on Tuesday, Sept. 24. for crimes committed in neighboring communities, but one suspect remains at large.

Police say the suspect, described as a black, 6-foot-tall male in his 30s with a slender build and some facial hair, entered at least two homes in New Castle on Annandale Drive and Crossways on Monday, Sept. 23. 

He entered the first home through an open window after removing the screen, according to police. The suspect entered the second home through an unsecured basement sliding door, police say.

Department officials say they are working alongside the Westchester County District Attorney’s office to file charges for the crimes committed in New Castle.

“We thank everyone for their assistance in this matter and would like to remind everyone to continue to contact us regarding any suspicious activity,” police say.
