Police Charge Man, 27, In Route 133 Murder

OSSINING, N.Y. -- Ossining Police have arrested and charged a man in the murder of a Yonkers resident whose body was discovered on Route 133 in late August.

Joaquin A. Recinos-Garcia, 27, was arrested by Ossining Police on Friday and charged with murdering Luis Blanco, 62 in August. Recinos-Garcia was arraigned on Saturday in Ossining Town Court and remanded to Westchester County Jail without bail.

On Aug. 24, a woman was jogging on Route 133 at the intersection of Tavano Road and Somerstown Road when she observed a deceased Blanco slightly off the roadway.

An autopsy later determined Blanco's death was a homicide.

The suspect's residence was not released. Ossining Police said they would soon be providing more information.
