Tree Takes Out Power Lines at Chappaqua School

CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. - Robert E. Bell Middle School partially lost power Wednesday afternoon when a tree fell across the power lines in the middle of Senter Street.

No students were injured and dismissal was carried out as scheduled, according to district clerk Theresa Markley. Parents, picking up students, however, were asked to use the South Greeley Avenue entrance as Senter Street was closed off. Con Edison was called to the scene.
