Murphy, GOP Candidates, To Unveil County Job Creation Plan

NEW CASTLE, N.Y. -- Terrence Murphy, Yorktown Councilman and candidate for the 4th District on the Westchester County Board of Legislators, will be holding a news conference in Chappaqua Thursday, Sept. 22 at 10:00 a.m. to discuss his new jobs plan.  

Murphy is expected to be joined by Bob Kirkwood, candidate for town supervisor, Richard Diefenback, candidate for town council, and Kevin Moore, candidate for town justice. 

Murphy said he wants inform residents of certain countywide regulations that he thinks should be repealed, which he believes are burdensome to taxpayers. He also promises to reveal iniatiatives that will revitalize the local economy and create jobs.   

“The unemployment rate is 6.2 percent here,” Murphy said. “People are desperate trying to get jobs.” 

Murphy considers himself a small businessman and he said he understands the issues residents are facing in the tough economy.
