Mt. Kisco Man Charged with DWI in Chappaqua

CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. - New Castle Police arrested and charged a 24-year-old Mt. Kisco man with Driving While Intoxicated on Tuesday after he was allegedly found behind the wheel of his pickup truck with a blood alcohol level more than twice the legal limit.

Police responded to a call at 3:15 p.m. of a truck that had driven off the roadway on Route 117 near Kittle Road. According to police, it was determined that driver Umberto Albaro Galicia was showing signs of intoxication and he was taken back to the department where he reportedly registered a BAC of .19.

With his BAC reportedly surpassing .18, Galicia's charges were bumped up to misdemeanor aggravated DWI, bringing stiffer possible fines. He was released and issued an appearance ticket with a return date to New Castle Justice Court on March 1.
