How to Discard Fallen Debris from Storm

NEW CASTLE, N.Y. - Starting Monday, New Castle's Department of Public Works will be picking up fallen debris from residences caused by last Saturday's snowstorm. According to the department, residents must place the debris on the curb, tighlty-bundled with twine or placed in a brown leaf bag in order for it to be picked up. Any branches or trees must also be cut four feet or less and may not be more than five inches in diameter.

Residents also have the option of packing the debris into their cars and taking it directly to the recycling center at Hunts Lane. The debris will be picked up every Monday, with the exception of the Monday before Thanksgiving.
