OSSINING, N.Y. -- Last week, Weschester County Executive Rob Astorino visited the Sunshine Children’s Home & Rehab Center in Ossining along with Deputy County Executive Kevin Plunkett, to tour the center and thank the staff there for their care and efforts working with the critically ill children who live and are cared for at Sunshine.

“Thank God, you’re here and do what you do,” said Astorino to the Sunshine staff.

Plunket called Sunshine a "hidden gem."

Sunshine's mission is to create a loving and supportive environment that provides the highest level of quality pediatric care for children with special needs. It is committed to treating children with dignity, compassion and respect within a family-centered approach that provides children with new opportunities and experiences that will allow them to thrive, grow and realize their greatest potential.
