New Nor'easter Snowfall Projection Maps: These Spots Could See 24 Inches

A brand-new forecast map shows pockets in in the Northeast that could see up to 24 inches of snowfall from the major winter storm now moving into the region.

The arrival time for the storm remains around nightfall on Saturday, Jan. 6 with precipitation coming earliest in areas farther south and west.

Snowfall projections for the Northeast from AccuWeather.com are shown in the first image above.

In the latest snowfall projections from the National Weather Service shown in the second image above, highly elevated areas in New York marked in red could see between 18 and 24 inches of accumulation. (Second image above.)
