New York Minute Gets Chappaqua Grooving

CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. -- New York Minute, a band playing hits from yesterday and today, came to Chappaqua for the final installment of the New Castle Summer Sounds Concert Series. The band performed the gazebo stage at the New Castle Recreation Field, in front of crowds of concertgoers.

Bill Ciaramelli created the New York Minute band ten years ago, playing a wide variety of hits from the ‘20s to today.

“We play all types of music from swing to jazz to rock and even classic rock,” Ciaramelli said.

The band has played in many different venues but it is their first visit to Chappaqua and their first performance in the new town gazebo.

“We’re excited. Tonight is going to be exciting playing in the gazebo,” Ciaramelli said. “It sounds great, It looks great, everything is brand new.”

New York Minute plays an extensive variety of music, from Sam Cooke to Snoop Dogg and everything in between. They played a great mixture of R&B, Soul, Motown and Pop for the listeners crowded on Recreation Field.

“We’re going to play two hours straight, no break,” Ciaramelli said. “We don’t want people to leave tonight.”

New York Minute had provided live entertainment at numerous weddings, including the likes of WWE’s John Cena and actor Robert Downey Jr., as well as events with Joan Rivers and Jennifer Hudson.

“We’re all over and we’ve done it all,” said lead singer Nicole Mustac. “We’re in Boston, New York, Florida.”
