Childbirth education and current birthing trends are woven into each class to help the new mother feel more confident and prepared during pregnancy, labor and motherhood.
“Prenatal yoga is one of the best things that an expectant mother can do for herself, as well as your growing baby," said instructor Mekea Fishlin.
"Some of the benefits of practicing yoga during pregnancy include helping to fosters a connection to the growing baby, it helps develops stamina and strength, relieves tension and reduces stress, it helps prepare for labor and delivery by teaching breathing techniques and most importantly it creates a community of woman, it can be very comforting to be with a group of women who understand what we are going through.”
Membership is not required to attend the class, and child care is available. Beginners are welcome.
