Why It's Kid Worthy: The go-to neighborhood joint for local families has a kids’ menu, Hunter’s favorites, which is named after the owner’s son. It includes: “Barking Dawgs,” two Sabrett slider hot dogs on a potato roll with fries, penne pasta, chicken fingers and Brady’s grilled cheese (named after the long-time bartender’s boy). It is also offering “Back to School” specials through Nov. 1 such as “kids eat free” on Mondays, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.; twofer burgers and salads on Tuesdays and fresh fish on Fridays from Mount Kisco Seafood. If you register your kid in the tavern's birthday club, you will receive an email coupon for a "jumbo" skillet cookie. It has booster seats for the tiny tykes, too.
