Kids Learn About Printing Press In Chappaqua's Greeley House Program

CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. -- The New Castle Historical Society and Horace Greeley House Museum will host a children's education program on the history and influence of the printing press on Sept. 27.

Co-sponsored by the Chappaqua Children's Book Festival, the program will cover the history of the printing press as well as Chappaqua's children's book authors, Horace Greeley's New-York Tribune and more. Participants will get to see one of Greeley's actual type stands and use mini-printing presses.

The program is free and runs from 2 to 4 p.m. Advance registration is recommended. To register, call (914)-238-4666 or email director@newcastlehs.org
