First Annual Movies In Millwood Park To Begin Friday

CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. – The Chappaqua-Millwood Chamber of Commerce will unveil the beginning of another Millwood-based event this Friday with “Movies in Millwood Park.”

The four-week event is sponsored by the Drug Mart of Millwood, Tazza Café, Matero Fine Jewelry and Susan Pecker of The Camp Connection.

The Chamber has worked in cohesion with the New Castle Recreation & Parks Department and the Millwood Task Force to begin another new tradition to Millwood. Just the other week, the first annual “Tails To Trails” was held there as well.

While that event was for local residents who were dog lovers, this tradition is geared to movie lovers. Every Friday night in June, families will be invited to come together to watch movies outside under the stars in Millwood Park, located at 235 Saw Mill River Road.

Admission is free and all movies begin at 8:30 p.m.

June 7: Happy Feet
June 14: Here Comes The Boom
June 21: E.T.
June 28: Despicable Me.
