The panelists include Grace Bennett, publisher and editor of The Inside Press; Helen Jonsen, a former journalist with Fox 5 and Pix 11; Kate Stone Lombardi, who contributes to The New York Times; and Kristen Prata Browde, a former CBS News anchor.
Left of Main Street is a group founded by Chappaqua residents Cynthia Ware Metcalf and Ann Styles Brochstein, who supported Trump's opponent (and fellow Chappaqua resident) Hillary Clinton in the presidential election.
“A free and fact based press is essential for an informed and free society” Metcalf said in a statement. “As consumers of news, it’s important to understand that we must hold the media accountable to report fact based news.”
The discussion will be held on March 3 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. It will be held at New Castle Town Hall, which is located at 200 S. Greeley Ave. in downtown Chappaqua.
